UFP Industries Shiplap Delivers Instant Upgrade to Model Remodel Interior
Shiplap panels are a simple way to provide an instant upgrade.
Along with extensive enhancements to the exterior of the 2020 Model Remodel, Dreamstyle Remodeling is refreshing several areas of the interior. And a simple way to provide an instant upgrade is with the addition of UFP-Edge’s Timeless nickel gap shiplap panels.
Shiplap walls are one of the hottest trends in residential design. It is a favorite of home improvement shows thanks to a vintage-yet-contemporary appeal that can be dressed up or dressed down to meet the desired style. And it’s a great way to achieve the ever-popular Modern Farmhouse look.
UFPI’s Timeless shiplap comes in 6- and 8-inch widths and includes a 1/8-inch nickel gap edge. The panels are made with knot-free radiata pine. To ensure they stay straight and avoid cupping or warping, the panels are finger-jointed and edge glued.
The shiplap is available pre-finished in Farmhouse White, Cavalry Blue, Midnight Black, or Granite Gray for fast installation. Or you can choose a pre-primed panel as Dreamstyle did, and paint it on site to the color of your choice.
Along with the walls, Dreamstyle plans to use Edge Timeless shiplap to cover up the Model Remodel’s original popcorn ceiling. This will allow them to eliminate the dated look while avoiding the hassle of removing it.
